Right in the middle of the Core is Seed: a 70 tonne granite sculpture and a symbol of respect for the plant world and an icon to promote the sowing of ideas for the future.
The Core has been listed in the top ten UK buildings for using renewable energy and is a masterpiece of function and aesthetics. It has photovoltaic panels, recycled and plant-based floors, superb insulation and minimized waste in its construction.
