  • Ems2 supports the Young Enterprise Reading Area Board Climate Change Award.
  • Founder Sue Priest is the Chair of the Young Enterprise Oxfordshire Northern Area Board which consists of other local business owners, teachers and representatives of Cherwell District Council and SEEDA - view Business Moves news item
  • The Board organises events and finds business mentors for Company Programme.
  • Company Programme runs in schools, generally the sixth form, and enables students to set up and run their own company for a year.  Young Enterprise provides the materials and the Criminal Records Bureau checks for business volunteers.

Ems2 is a strong advocate of enterprise and innovation for climate change in the local community.

It does this through its work with Young Enterprise, the Federation of Small Businesses and the Oxfordshire Climate Exchange.

Ems2 is also a participant in community activities in the county organised by the Oxfordshire Climate Exchange, ClimateX including Eco-Renovation, local trade fairs and helping with ClimateX business events.

Ems2 is a member of the Federation of Small Businesses, and Sue Priest sits on the Oxfordshire FSB Committee.  In this capacity, Sue is actively promoting free events to encourage small businesses to get involved in the low carbon economy.  Ems2 is proud to support local businesses in its own procurement approach wherever possible.

The first of eleven evening seminars to help small businesses and sole traders was held in Kidlington, Oxfordshire on 8th April.  Called Make Money from Climate Change, the events inspire delegates to create new product and service ideas, or help their clients to adapt to the effects of climate change.
